A former pre-kindergarten teacher in Jacksonville, Florida, got 10 years in federal prison for chatting up a 13-year-old girl online, sending her explicit photos and planning sex acts.
Tony Leroy Bartley Jr., 38, was working at a school in Ponte Vedra Beach when FBI agents caught him in the act.
Bartley used a social media app to try and hook up with the underage girl, exchanging messages and sending her a photo of himself.
When agents finally arrested him at his home in August 2025, Bartley admitted to the crime and told them he knew he was going down.
The case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sex crimes.
