A Tulsa felon who blasted a shotgun in an apartment with a kid around was locked up for 51 months for possessing a firearm and ammo, authorities said.
Tulsa police were called to an apartment in July 2025 where 46-year-old Marcus Antonio Jones was seen discharging the gun. Several residents told cops Jones had been boozing it up earlier in the day, and had fired the 12-gauge shotgun with a juvenile in the room.
Officers got a search warrant and found the shotgun in Jones’s bedroom, along with a spent shell and three rounds of ammo. Jones has a lengthy rap sheet, including convictions for first-degree manslaughter and domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
The Tulsa Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Mallory Richard prosecuting. Jones is being held pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
