A Canal Fulton man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of inducing a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct and two drug charges.
According to court documents, William P. Lacey, 55, persuaded, induced, enticed and coerced a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct on two occasions in February 2013.
The indictment also states that Lacey possessed four kilograms of the substance a-PVP and one kilogram of the substance 4-MEC.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Linda Barr following an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
Lacey’s crimes are a stark reminder of the dangers of child exploitation and the importance of holding perpetrators accountable.
As a society, we must work together to prevent these crimes from happening and support victims and their families.
