Omaha Man Sentenced to 120 Months in Prison for Role in Methamphetamine and Marijuana Conspiracy

In a significant blow to the illicit drug trade in Omaha, Nebraska, Willis Parker, 32, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and marijuana. According to court documents, Parker was part of a larger conspiracy that involved over 500 grams of methamphetamine and over 100 kilograms of marijuana.

The conspiracy, which lasted from July 2016 to November 2020, saw Parker involved in the distribution of methamphetamine and marijuana in the Omaha area. On November 23, 2020, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Parker’s Omaha residence, where they found approximately 80 pills containing methamphetamine, 0.205 kilograms of marijuana, and a digital scale. Parker was in possession of the drugs during and in furtherance of the conspiracy.

The investigation, which was carried out by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Omaha Police Department, and the Bellevue Police Department, also uncovered seven destructive devices similar to a bomb. Parker was previously charged federally and sentenced to 37 months in prison for possessing the destructive devices.

Parker’s sentencing is the latest development in a case that has seen several co-defendants plead guilty to charges related to the drug conspiracy. Ty-Sean Nunn, George Buck, Dominique Thomas, Anthony Hill-Gaines, and Jerrell Jackson have all pleaded guilty, with Buck and Thomas receiving sentences of 120 months and 90 months in prison, respectively. Nunn was sentenced to 168 months in prison, while Hill-Gaines received a sentence of 90 months. Jackson is pending sentencing, while co-defendant Terrance Traynham is set to face trial.

Parker’s sentence, which includes a five-year term of supervised release after his release from prison, brings an end to a complex and multifaceted investigation into the methamphetamine and marijuana trade in Omaha. The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle against illicit drug activity in the city.
