Fentanyl Dealer Admits to Role in Deadly Operation
A Berkeley County woman has admitted to her role in a heroin and fentanyl distribution operation that brought death and destruction to the community. Crystal Lyn Lewis, 28, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, pled guilty to one count of ‘Aiding and Abetting Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl’.
The crime took place in January 2017 in Jefferson County, where Lewis distributed fentanyl, a potent and deadly opioid. Her actions put countless lives at risk, and the consequences could be severe.
Under federal sentencing guidelines, Lewis faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of up to $1,000,000. The actual sentence will depend on the seriousness of the offenses and any prior criminal history she may have.
Lewis’s guilty plea marks a significant victory for law enforcement, who worked tirelessly to bring the dealer to justice.
