Montgomery Man Sentenced For Club Shooting

Montgomery’s Timothy Cortez Robinson, 26, has been handed a severe sentence for his role in a deadly gunfight at the Rose Supper Club on Highland Avenue. Robinson was sentenced to 37 months behind bars by Judge Mark E. Fuller of the United States District Court, along with 3 years of supervised release and a $100 court assessment fee.

The sentence came after Robinson’s guilty plea on June 18, 2013, where he admitted to pulling a Glock .45 during a verbal altercation that escalated into a shootout at the club. The shooting occurred in the early hours of December 3, 2012. His previous felony conviction meant he was not permitted to possess a firearm.

Robinson’s case was meticulously investigated by both the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) and the Montgomery Police Department. Assistant United States Attorneys Susan R. Redmond and Brandon Essig led the prosecution, ensuring justice was served for the incident that shocked the community.

This grim chapter in Montgomery’s history serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by gun violence and the consequences faced by those who misuse firearms.
