Valadez-Lara Charged

Two Mexican nationals, Juan Ramon Valadez-Lara, age 26, and Joel Noe Fabian-Vazquez, age 27, have been indicted on charges of unlawful reentry to the United States, according to Steven M. Dettelbach, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio.

Valadez-Lara is accused of unlawfully reentering the United States on May 12, 2014. The specifics of his case are still under investigation, but the charges against him are serious and could result in significant penalties if convicted.

Fabian-Vazquez, on the other hand, is accused of unlawfully reentering the United States on May 21, 2014. Like Valadez-Lara, his case is being handled by the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Port Clinton, Ohio, and he faces similar charges and potential penalties.

The cases against Valadez-Lara and Fabian-Vazquez are not related, and each will be tried separately. The investigating agency in these cases is the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Port Clinton, Ohio, and they are being handled by Assistant United States Attorney Noah P. Hood.

If convicted, the defendants’ sentences will be determined by the Court after reviewing factors unique to each case, including the defendant’s prior criminal record, if any, and the defendant’s role in the offense and the characteristics of the violation. In all cases, the sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and in most cases it will be less than the maximum.

The charges of unlawful reentry are serious and can result in significant penalties, including imprisonment and fines. The fact that these two individuals are facing these charges highlights the ongoing issue of unlawful reentry in the United States and the need for continued vigilance and enforcement by law enforcement agencies.

The Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security are working together to address the issue of unlawful reentry and to bring those who violate the law to justice. The cases against Valadez-Lara and Fabian-Vazquez are just two examples of the many cases being prosecuted across the country.
