A federal judge in Buffalo, New York has sentenced a 29-year-old man to 30 years in prison for his role in producing and possessing child pornography. Paul F. Archambault, Jr., of Buffalo, was convicted in a jury trial of production, receipt, and possession of child pornography.

According to prosecutors, Archambault contacted a minor victim via MeetMe.com in August 2012, and enticed them to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing visual depictions. He was also found guilty of two counts of receiving child pornography for images he obtained from the minor victim via email, and one count of possessing child pornography on a SD card.

Archambault was previously convicted of possessing child pornography in the Northern District of New York in 2009. The new sentence will be served consecutive to a seven year sentence he received for failing to register as a sex offender and a violation of supervised release.

The investigation was conducted by Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Adam S. Cohen, and the United States Marshals Service, under the direction of Charles Salina.
