Glenn David Nickols Gets Life for Sickening Abuse of 5-Year-Old

TULSA, Okla. – A monster was brought to justice today as U.S. District Judge John D. Russell sentenced Glenn David Nickols, 41, to life imprisonment for Aggravated Sexual Abuse of Minor Under 12 Years of Age in Indian Country and Sexual Exploitation of a Child.

Nickols, a Delaware County man, will be required to register as a sex offender and face supervised release if he’s ever released from prison. This life sentence sends a clear message that our society will not tolerate such heinous crimes against our children.

U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson announced the sentencing, stating, “Project Safe Childhood is our commitment to have our children grow up without fear of exploitation.” He added, “This life sentence holds Nickols accountable for his predatory actions and puts him in prison where he cannot exploit another child.”

A court record reveals that from March 2020 through August 2020, Nickols knowingly engaged in repetitive and sadistic sexual acts with a 5-year-old child, whom he tied to a bed with restraints and filmed himself sexually assaulting on multiple occasions. The 5-year-old victim is a tribal member.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood (PSC), a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Nassar prosecuted the case.

Nickols previously received a 10-year sentence in Delaware County for Aggravated Possession of Child Pornography and Distributing Obscene Material, relating to possessing additional images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of other children. He will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
