A massive cocaine operation in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, has been dismantled after a 6-month investigation. Romaro Lanarie Foster Sr., 47, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy.
federal authorities began investigating Foster and his crew in March 2022, after a source in California started mailing kilogram quantities of cocaine to Foster’s home in Aliquippa.
But when cops seized a package containing 2 kilograms of cocaine, the suppliers got clever, shipping the goods to a co-defendant in West Virginia. Foster would then pick it up and sell it in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
But law enforcement wasn’t done yet. They learned that Foster was planning a trip to Georgia to score more cocaine. And that’s when they struck, seizing 4 kilograms of cocaine from his car during a traffic stop in South Carolina in September 2022.
Before handing down the sentence, Judge W. Scott Hardy pointed out that Foster’s past convictions, including attempted murder and drug trafficking, didn’t deter him from getting back into the game.
