Dustin Coffelt, Child Porn Production, New York 2022

A 36-year-old Cheektowaga man is looking at decades behind bars after pleading guilty to producing and possessing child pornography.

Dustin Coffelt admitted to sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl and producing explicit photos of her, which he shared online through various social media apps and text messages.

Police first received a tip in July 2022 and discovered the abuse had been ongoing for several years.

On August 11, 2022, FBI agents arrested Coffelt after he turned over his phone, which contained numerous explicit images of the victim.

The case was investigated by the Depew and Cheektowaga Police Departments, with assistance from the FBI.

Coffelt is scheduled to be sentenced on August 24, 2026, and faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison.
