A San Juan man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for preying on a 15-year-old girl and producing a stash of child porn. Luis Ángel Domenech-Acabá, 35, was found guilty of producing and possessing child porn in a three-day trial last February.
The evidence revealed Domenech-Acabá used his cell phone and internet messaging services to coerce the minor into engaging in sexual activity from September 2017 to September 2018. He produced and possessed images and videos of the minor, which he kept on his phone.
US Attorney W. Stephen Muldrow announced the sentencing, which includes 15 years of supervised release after Domenech-Acabá serves his 30-year prison term.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Puerto Rico Police Department. It’s part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sex abuse.
