Niagara Falls Man Sentenced to 27 Years for Child Pornography

BUFFALO, N.Y. – A Niagara Falls man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for distributing child pornography, a crime he committed just a year after being convicted of a similar offense.

Daniel Krull, 44, used his Facebook profile ‘Danny Blaze’ to distribute 11 images of child pornography to other individuals via a private group on the social media platform between November 6, 2015, and November 8, 2015. Facebook shut down the private group and submitted a CyberTipline report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on February 28, 2016.

A forensic examination of Krull’s cellular telephone, seized by the Niagara County Probation Department on August 23, 2016, revealed approximately 2,026 images and 20 videos of child pornography depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Some of the images depicted prepubescent minors or minors less than 12 years of age and depictions of graphic violence.

During the investigation, Krull admitted to previously sexually molesting three minor females and following numerous minor females at a local retail store, where he would become sexually stimulated and engage in masturbation.

Krull was previously convicted in state court of possessing a sexual performance by a child less than 16 years of age in March 2007. The sentencing is the result of an investigation by Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at the direction of Adam S. Cohen, Special Agent-In-Charge, and Probation Officers of the Niagara County Probation Department.

The case was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango.
