A Denton, Texas teacher has been charged with receiving and possessing child pornography, federal authorities announced.
Kyle Lee Roy Francis, 24, a former teacher at Northwest Independent School District, was indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Texas.
The indictment alleges that Francis received and possessed child pornography, which is a federal crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Francis has already resigned from his position as a teacher, and he is expected to face justice for his alleged crimes.
The case is being investigated by Homeland Security Investigations Dallas Child Exploitation Group and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Calli Bailey.
