A Florida businessman is going down for selling the US military faulty parts that could have put troops’ lives at risk.
Andrew Nolan, 46, the owner of Nolan Manufacturing, LLC, was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison for providing nonconforming critical application parts to the US military through nearly 150 Department of War contracts.
The scheme, which ran from 2012 to 2020, involved Nolan purchasing parts from unapproved manufacturers and then shipping them to a third party to laser-etch the approved part numbers onto them before turning them over to the DoW.
Nolan’s actions put the lives of US troops in danger, and he now faces time in federal prison for his crimes. The US military is a multi-billion dollar industry, and the loss of over $800,000 is a significant blow.
Nolan was indicted by a federal grand jury in September 2022 and pleaded guilty in October 2025 to wire fraud and other charges.
The Department of Defense Office of Inspector General’s Defense Criminal Investigative Service, Southeast Field Office, was instrumental in uncovering Nolan’s scheme and bringing him to justice.
