Dustin Jarrard, Embezzlement, Georgia 2024

Gainesville, Ga. – A former operations manager at Tribe Transportation, Dustin Jarrard, has been arraigned on federal charges for an alleged embezzlement scheme that stole over $500,000 from the trucking company.

According to U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg, ‘Jarrard allegedly stole more than $500,000 that was intended to help truckers on the road. We will hold accountable those who abuse their positions of trust and embezzle funds for their personal use.’

Jarrard, 38, served as an operations manager from May 2018 through May 2024, with authority to request expense reimbursements for drivers. He is accused of manipulating internal processes to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars by submitting fraudulent reimbursement requests and enlisting drivers in his scheme.

Over three years, Jarrard sent false payment requests for non-existent expenses and bonuses. Drivers who were not employed by the company were also involved, transferring funds directly to Jarrard. ‘This case is a clear example of financial fraud fueled by greed,’ said Paul Brown, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta.

Jarrard was arraigned yesterday before United States Magistrate Judge Anna W. Howard after being indicted on July 22, 2025, for wire fraud. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

This investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer Keen handling the prosecution.
