In a shocking turn of events, a Michigan man has been arrested in connection to three brazen bank robberies across the state.

Glenn Pack, a 23-year-old resident of Michigan, was taken into custody by the FBI on January 25, 2024, in West Virginia and was subsequently transported back to Michigan to face charges.

According to the criminal complaint, Pack allegedly robbed a PNC Bank on Joseph Campau Street in Hamtramck on December 19, 2023, a Chase Bank on Vernier Road in Harper Woods on January 2, 2024, and a PNC Bank on S. Chrysler Drive in Hazel Park on January 12, 2024. In each of the robberies, Pack posed as a customer and presented the tellers with a note demanding money and stating that he was robbing the bank. The total amount stolen in the heists is estimated to be over $10,000.

Bank robbery carries a severe penalty, with Pack potentially facing up to 20 years in prison if convicted. A federal district court judge will ultimately determine the sentence after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Special Agent in Charge Cheyvoryea Gibson commended the swift action taken by local law enforcement agencies and the FBI in identifying and apprehending Pack. “Each partner brought a unique skill set to the table, contributing to the successful apprehension by FBI Pittsburgh. The FBI remains committed to investigating thieves and protecting the public from this type of criminal activity,” Gibson stated.

While Pack is currently in custody, he has yet to be proven guilty in a court of law. A criminal complaint is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.

The investigation into Pack’s crimes was a collaborative effort, involving the Detroit FBI, the Hazel Park Police Department, the Hamtramck Police Department, and the Harper Woods Department of Public Safety. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Alsaden will be handling the prosecution.
