Gustavo Gordillo, a 42-year-old Guatemalan national, has pleaded guilty to a heinous crime that has left many shaken.
In a disturbing case, Gordillo admitted to producing child pornography, a crime that involves the creation of explicit images or videos of minors.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Gordillo was charged with production, transportation, distribution, and possession of child pornography after a cyber tip was received by the Oklahoma City Police Department in July 2020.
An investigation by the OCPD and Homeland Security Investigations revealed that Gordillo had uploaded files containing child sexual abuse material to a Google Photos account, which led to his arrest on January 29, 2025.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Gordillo had communicated with a child living out of state and had provided and received explicit images with the minor.
Gordillo’s visa had expired, and he is now facing serious consequences for his actions.
On June 12, 2025, Gordillo pleaded guilty to Count 1 of the indictment, admitting that he used a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography.
Gordillo could face a sentence of no less than 15 years and up to 30 years in federal prison, along with a fine of up to $250,000.
