A 33-year-old Houston man, Cyrus Boujabadi, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for leading a massive MDMA trafficking operation in Southern Texas.
From January 2019 to July 2023, Boujabadi masterminded a conspiracy to distribute multiple narcotics, including MDMA, meth, cocaine, marijuana, and psilocybin.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant at Boujabadi’s residence and seized a trove of evidence, including meth, MDMA tablets, Xanax, marijuana, DMT, THC oils and edibles, and psilocybin mushrooms.
Boujabadi used his residence to distribute drugs, coordinated transactions using a messaging app, and directed others to deliver controlled substances. He even used couriers to insulate himself from law enforcement.
In addition to his prison sentence, Boujabadi was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and serve five years of supervised release. His ill-gotten gains, including multiple properties in Tennessee, have been forfeited.
