Man Charged with Attempting to Meet 11-Year-Old for Sex

An Arkansas man was arrested at Albany International Airport after flying in from Arkansas to engage in sexual contact with an 11-year-old child. According to investigators, Kyle Biswell, 37, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, began online conversations with someone he believed would allow him to have sex with an underage relative.

Biswell allegedly packed numerous Viagra pills in his suitcase before boarding a flight to Albany on April 8, 2023. He was arrested as soon as he arrived at the airport and later admitted to traveling with the intention of engaging in sexual contact with a minor.

The FBI and its Child Exploitation Task Force, which includes members of local law enforcement agencies, arrested Biswell and charged him with one count of interstate travel for illicit sexual conduct. The investigation is part of Project Safe Childhood, a federal initiative launched in 2006 to combat child exploitation and prostitution.

If convicted of the charge, Biswell faces up to 30 years in prison, a maximum fine of $250,000, and a term of post-imprisonment supervised release of at least 5 years and up to life. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Benjamin S. Clark.

The FBI and local law enforcement agencies have been working to identify and prosecute individuals who exploit children online. Project Safe Childhood has been instrumental in bringing together federal, state, and local resources to combat child exploitation and rescue victims.

The case is a stark reminder of the dangers of online predators and the importance of protecting our children from exploitation. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious online activity to the authorities.
