A high-speed chase through north St. Louis County ended in a crash when Davell A. Horton, 29, refused to pull over in a stolen Infiniti G37 on July 15, 2024. The carjacking suspect was on supervised release for a prior carjacking conviction.
St. Louis County Police spotted the Infiniti with no license plates matching a stolen car description. Horton sped away, but eventually crashed into a light pole.
His passenger bailed, dropping a .45-caliber Glock handgun. Horton took off on foot, leaving behind the modified fully automatic weapon.
The St. Louis County Police Department investigated, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul D’Agrosa is prosecuting the case.
Horton faces up to 15 years in prison at his sentencing on August 10.
