Marlon Santos, Reentry of Removed Alien, Louisiana 2025

Marlon Santos, a 36-year-old Honduran national, has been sentenced to 2 years in prison for reentry of removed alien in Louisiana.

According to court documents, Santos was found in Orleans Parish on April 21, 2025. He had previously been removed to Honduras on December 21, 2018.

U.S. District Judge Lance M. Africk sentenced Santos to 2 years of imprisonment to be followed by 1 year of supervised release.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that aims to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, eliminate cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect communities from violent crime.

Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson praised the work of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in investigating this matter. Assistant U.S. Attorney Spiro G. Latsis oversaw the prosecution.

The U.S. Marshals Service and U.S. Customs and Border Protection assisted in the apprehension of Santos.
