Sexual Predator Behind Bars: Aaron Wade Sentenced to 46 Months
In a shocking case of child abuse, Neil (corrected name: Aaron) Wade, a 48-year-old resident of Gordon, Nebraska, was handed a 46-month jail term by U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey L. Viken on April 6, 2021. The harsh sentence is a result of Wade’s conviction for Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
According to court records, Wade’s despicable crime involved the sexual abuse of a juvenile female in 2017 at Pine Ridge. The victim, who cannot be named due to her age and the nature of the crime, suffered unimaginable trauma at the hands of the defendant.
The case against Wade was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Megan Poppen. Wade was initially indicted by a federal grand jury in January 2019.
During the sentencing hearing, the judge ordered Wade to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund for each charge. The total amount amounts to $200. In addition to the jail term, Wade will serve 5 years of supervised release once he is released from prison.
Wade was immediately taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service, bringing an end to his reign of terror. The community can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that this predator is behind bars, where he belongs.
