A brazen heist in Raytown, Missouri, left a gun store reeling after thieves backed a U-Haul truck into the front of the business, making a hole and making off with 41 firearms on June 16, 2023.
One of the stolen pistols was later recovered in Tracy, California, while two others were found in Mexico, in Chihuahua and Juarez.
Frank Guereca, 24, was arrested on April 25, 2024, as he attempted to re-enter the US from Mexico, and his phone was seized, containing over 250 images and 70 videos of child pornography.
Guereca had previously crossed the border 20 times since the burglary, and was sentenced to 97 months in prison without parole.
Assistant US Attorneys Bradley K. Kavanaugh and Alison D. Dunning brought the case, which was investigated by the ATF, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Raytown Police Department.
