Oscar Williams Jr. Sentenced to 30 Years for Producing Child Sexual Abuse Material, Opa-Locka FL, 2023

Opa-Locka, FL – In a shocking case of child exploitation, Oscar Williams Jr., 30, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for extorting four minor girls into producing child sexual abuse material. The heinous crimes took place between November 2019 and September 2020.

According to authorities, Williams demanded upwards of 50 photos a day from some of the victims, threatening to post the material on social media and pornography websites if they did not comply. The victims were coerced into creating sexually explicit photos and videos of themselves, which were then sent to Williams via a social media application.

The FBI, Miami Field Office, investigated the case after executing a search warrant on Williams’ home. The agency’s swift action brought an end to the exploitation, and Williams was subsequently arrested.

U.S. Attorney Juan Antonio Gonzalez and acting Special Agent in Charge Robert M. DeWitt announced the sentence, praising the efforts of the FBI and the prosecution team for their tireless work in bringing justice to the victims.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Lacee Elizabeth Monk and Jessica Kahn Obenauf prosecuted the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

The case highlights the need for continued vigilance and cooperation between law enforcement agencies, the public, and the community to prevent such crimes from occurring in the future.
