A Paterson man peddled AR- and AK-style rifles, as well as kilos of fentanyl, to undercover cops, raking in thousands. Tony ‘Red’ Crowe, 33, pleaded guilty to dealing firearms without a license and other charges.
Over several months, Crowe sold multiple firearms and narcotics to an undercover agent in Paterson, New Jersey. The feds took notice and swooped in, bringing the goods to a stop. Crowe’s scheme made him a tidy sum, but now he’s facing prison time.
On April 20, 2026, U.S. District Judge Edward S. Kiel handed down a 76-month sentence to Crowe. The Paterson resident was also slapped with three years of supervised release. The case was part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence.
U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer credited ATF agents and Passaic County Sheriff’s Office officers for their work on the case. The investigation highlighted the importance of community-based initiatives and focused law enforcement efforts in the fight against gun trafficking.
