A monstrous fentanyl and methamphetamine trafficking operation was dismantled in Reading, PA, with 34-year-old Angel Diaz-Gibson taking the fall. The scheme, which spanned from June to August 2024, involved the distribution of 40 grams or more of fentanyl and 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.
According to court records, Diaz-Gibson was caught with at least 50 grams of meth and 40 grams of fentanyl in July 2024, further solidifying his role in the trafficking operation.
On February 29, 2024, Diaz-Gibson was sentenced to 262 months in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release.
The investigation, led by the Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force, was a major blow to the trafficking operation and a testament to the dedication of law enforcement agencies in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
