A Rockland County man is facing federal charges for allegedly sexually exploiting a 12-year-old child, recording their abuse and possessing explicit images on his phone.
Alber Rodriguez, 38, was arrested on April 11, 2026, after a witness reported finding sexually explicit images of a minor on his cellphone to the Ramapo Police Department.
According to authorities, the images were discovered in the photo gallery of Rodriguez’s phone and appeared to have been taken at a location in Rockland County on September 10 and 13, 2024, when the victim was 12 years old.
The victim, now 13, reportedly disclosed to investigators that Rodriguez had sexually abused them on numerous occasions over the past two years.
Rodriguez was previously charged in Justice Court Village of Montebello with multiple counts of child sex abuse and related crimes.
