Joshua Lee Bolin, Receiving Child Sexual Exploitation Material, Oklahoma 2024

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Sallisaw High School’s head football coach Joshua Lee Bolin, aged 26, has pleaded guilty to a severe charge of receiving child sexual exploitation material. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma disclosed that Bolin faces up to twenty years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The Superseding Indictment against Bolin outlined allegations of receiving visual depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct from January 2024 until June 28, 2024. The investigation into this case was a joint effort by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Sallisaw Police Department.

Bolin’s plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson, who has ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed. A U.S. District Court Judge will subsequently determine the sentence based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors. Bolin is currently in custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessie K. Pippin and Emily Wittlinger represented the United States during the proceedings. The severity of the charge, which carries a potential sentence of five to twenty years imprisonment, underscores the gravity of Bolin’s actions.
