A 47-year-old sex offender was sentenced to 20 months in prison for failing to register as a sex offender in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kenneth James Sequichie was living under a bridge near more than 10 childcare facilities or schools when he was arrested by Tulsa Police officers.
Sequichie has a lengthy criminal history, with 28 convictions including physically abusing a child, violently assaulting others, and dealing drugs. He was previously convicted of lewd molestation and served 15 years in prison.
After his latest conviction, Sequichie registered as a sex offender but claimed to be living in Tahlequah. However, Cherokee Nation Marshals discovered that he had left and was homeless, buying food at gas stations in South Tulsa.
Sequichie was arrested on a warrant and will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. The case was investigated by the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service and the Tulsa Police Department.
