Willard Perry, Possession of Child Pornography, Vermont 2026

⏱ 2 min read

A 68-year-old Vermont man has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for possessing a staggering collection of child sexual abuse materials. Willard Perry, of Milton, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and was sentenced on July 24, 2026. The investigation, led by the FBI, uncovered over 50,000 images and videos of child abuse, including content depicting prepubescent female children being sexually assaulted. Perry’s sentencing is part of the nationwide Project Safe Childhood initiative, which aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.

The disturbing cache of child abuse materials found on Perry’s devices included images and videos of children as young as three years old being bound, blindfolded, and assaulted. The investigation and subsequent sentencing serve as a stark reminder of the darker corners of the internet, where child predators and exploiters lurk. The FBI’s efforts in this case have helped to bring a perpetrator to justice and potentially save countless children from further harm.

Perry’s case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle Arra, with First Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan A. Ophardt commending the FBI’s investigatory efforts. As part of his sentence, Perry will also face 15 years of supervised release, with a separate hearing scheduled for September 16, 2026, to determine restitution.

The Project Safe Childhood initiative, launched in 2006, has been instrumental in identifying and prosecuting individuals who exploit children online. By marshaling federal, state, and local resources, the project has helped to rescue victims and bring perpetrators to justice. Perry’s sentencing serves as a warning to those who would seek to harm children: law enforcement is vigilant, and justice will be served.
