A 154.1 gram methamphetamine sale in Billings, Montana, was just a small part of Vincent Lee Bell’s lucrative operation. Authorities say Bell, 33, sold pound quantities of the potent stimulant in the city.
It started with a confidential tip in August 2024, which led to a controlled purchase of 154.1 grams of actual methamphetamine from Bell on August 28, 2024. Another buy, this time of 102.3 grams, went down on September 20, 2024.
After Bell’s arrest, police found 582.4 grams of actual methamphetamine in his vehicle. Bell’s plea deal in October 2025 sealed his fate: 13 years and 8 months behind bars.
U.S. District Judge Susan P. Watters presided over the sentencing. The U.S. Attorney’s Office prosecuted the case, with the DEA and Eastern Montana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force conducting the investigation.
