Brandon Michael Jones, Phillip Earl Amey, Drug Conspiracy, Oklahoma 2015

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – In a shocking turn of events, two Oklahoma City men have pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy charges in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Brandon Michael Jones, 37, and Phillip Earl Amey, a/k/a Crazy, 34, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, have admitted to their roles in a massive methamphetamine operation that spanned over a year.

According to the indictment, Jones and Amey conspired with several others, including David Dean Cagle, Gilbert Espinoza, a/k/a Snow, Jonathan Miranda, Jessica Suzanne Felix, a/k/a Sarah, and others, to possess with intent to distribute and distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.

The charges against Jones and Amey arose from a lengthy investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Oklahoma City Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, McAlester Police Department, Checotah Police Department, McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department, District 18 District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, Bureau of Indian Affairs, United States Marshal Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Assistant United States Attorney Shannon Henson represented the United States in the case. The Honorable Kimberly E. West, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted the guilty pleas and ordered the completion of presentence reports.

Jones and Amey will remain in the custody of the United States Marshal Service pending sentencing. Sentencing hearings will be scheduled following the completion of presentence reports.

The maximum penalty for drug conspiracy is not less than 10 years or more than Life imprisonment, up to a $20,000,000.00 fine or both. The exact date of the crime is unknown, but it is believed to have occurred in July 2014 and continued until April 7, 2015, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma and elsewhere.

In related news, the Oklahoma City community is breathing a sigh of relief as these two men will no longer be able to peddle their deadly wares on the streets.
