Kenneth Lee Camp, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Oklahoma 2022

⏱ 2 min read

A high-ranking member of the Indian Brotherhood gang, Kenneth Lee Camp, was sentenced to 180 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine conspiracy that brought large quantities of the drug into Tulsa. Camp, 44, pleaded guilty to the charges, which stemmed from a 2022 investigation into methamphetamine trafficking over state lines. The probe, led by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Tulsa Police Department, uncovered a network of gang members and associates working together to distribute the drug.

When law enforcement served a search warrant on Camp’s home, they found over two pounds of methamphetamine, $2,800 in cash, firearms, ammunition, and several cellphones. The cellphones contained drug-related conversations between Camp and his co-defendants, Jeremiah Jacob James Harper and Billy Gene Talley. The investigation also revealed that Camp had a lengthy criminal history, including a recent charge for beating up a pregnant woman and obstructing a police officer.

Camp’s co-defendants were also sentenced for their roles in the conspiracy. Jeremiah Harper, 31, was sentenced to 60 months in prison, while Billy Gene Talley, 44, received a 120-month sentence. The sentences bring an end to a major methamphetamine trafficking operation in the Tulsa area, and demonstrate the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the spread of the drug.

The case highlights the dangers of methamphetamine and the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies in combating the problem. The investigation and prosecution of Camp and his co-defendants serve as a warning to those involved in the drug trade that they will be held accountable for their actions.
