OKLAHOMA CITY – Michael Lowell Bonjour, 39, of Mustang, is now en route to federal prison for over seven years after being caught with stolen firearms and violating his previous felony convictions.
Bonjour was first nabbed by the El Reno Police Department in March 2024, when he possessed a stolen firearm. His luck ran out six months later when Oklahoma City Police Department officers stopped him while driving a stolen vehicle, discovering three more stolen firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun.
Before these incidents, Bonjour had accumulated quite the rap sheet, with multiple felony convictions and four misdemeanor convictions for violating protective orders. He was also caught bringing contraband into a penal institution and possessing stolen vehicles.
In November 2024, a federal grand jury charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen firearms, and possession of an unregistered firearm. Bonjour pleaded guilty on February 28, 2025, acknowledging his illegal actions. On July 18, 2025, U.S. District Judge Scott L. Palk sentenced him to 87 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
The case against Bonjour was the result of a joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Edmond Police Department, the Oklahoma City Police Department, and the El Reno Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Danielle M. Connolly prosecuted the case.
