Malachi Younger, Fentanyl Trafficking, West Virginia 2024

⏱ 2 min read

A 23-year-old Maryland man is behind bars after pleading guilty to a West Virginia drug trafficking conspiracy involving fentanyl, cocaine, and oxycodone. Malachi Younger was involved in a large-scale operation that funneled illicit substances into Berkeley County.

On March 28, 2024, law enforcement seized a stolen Jeep operated by Younger, which contained large quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana, along with packaging materials and cash.

Investigators observed Younger engaging in hand-to-hand drug transactions in Maryland and West Virginia, often using a stolen black Jaguar SUV. On July 27, 2024, he fled from Pennsylvania State Police in the Jaguar and was found in possession of additional fentanyl mixtures, oxycodone, and cash.

Younger’s guilty plea marks a significant blow to the operation, which authorities say posed a grave threat to public safety due to the extreme lethality of fentanyl.
