A Canadian fugitive, Perth De, aka Parthasarthie Kapoor, was sentenced to 97 months in prison for distributing and possessing images of child sexual abuse.
Newark, N.J. – On April 10, 2023, Perth De, 53, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Madeline Cox Arleo in Newark federal court to 97 months in prison and five years of supervised release.
Perth De, a Bronx, New York, man, pleaded guilty on August 12, 2022, to one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
The charges against Perth De were brought by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey.
Perth De’s sentence is the result of his guilty plea to distributing and possessing images of child sexual abuse.
The case against Perth De was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Perth De, a Canadian citizen, was previously identified as a fugitive in Canada.
