A 34-year-old Florida man was caught with 14 pounds of crystal meth in Warwick, Rhode Island, in a bust by the DEA task force and local police.
Andrew Urbano Perez was stopped by a Warwick police officer on December 2024, and a K-9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics in the rental vehicle he was driving.
A search of the vehicle turned up the massive haul of meth, hidden inside the car, and Perez was taken into custody.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney Peter I. Roklan, and the DEA and task force agencies led the investigation.
A federal indictment is just an accusation, but the evidence against Perez looks damning.
