Medina Man Charged with Crack Cocaine Crimes
A 22-year-old Medina man is facing serious charges after a federal grand jury indicted him on a one-count indictment for possession with the intent to distribute and distribution of crack cocaine.
Jeimil A. Henderson, 22, of Medina, was arrested by members of the Medina County Drug Task Force and Drug Enforcement Administration on a criminal complaint following an investigation.
According to the indictment, Henderson is accused of possessing and distributing crack cocaine, a highly addictive and powerful form of cocaine. If convicted, his sentence will be determined by the court after reviewing factors such as his prior criminal record, role in the offense, and characteristics of the violations.
The investigation leading up to the indictment was a joint effort by the Medina County Drug Task Force, Medina Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The matter is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Teresa Riley.
It’s worth noting that an indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. Henderson is entitled to a fair trial, where the government will have to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
The Medina County community is likely to be shocked by these allegations, and many are left wondering what led to Henderson’s involvement in the distribution of crack cocaine.
As the investigation continues, Grimy Times will provide updates and more information on this developing story.
