Lancaster, South Carolina – Travis Rashad Laney, a 38-year-old local kingpin, has been brought to justice for running a massive methamphetamine trafficking operation in the city.
Between April and May 2024, Laney sold over 700 grams of meth to undercover cops on three separate occasions, sparking a DEA-led investigation.
On May 9, 2024, agents executed a search warrant at Laney’s residence, unearthing a staggering 2.2 kilograms of meth, along with cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, codeine, and a slew of firearms – including one equipped with a Glock switch.
Laney’s arsenal included 11 loaded guns, a large stash of cash, and materials used to package and distribute his deadly wares.
United States District Judge Sherri A. Lydon slammed Laney with a 17.5-year sentence, followed by five years of supervised release. There’s no parole in the federal system, and Laney will have plenty of time to think about his life choices.
