Heather Breland, Meth Trafficking and Armed Fentanyl Ring, Atlanta GA, 2023

MACON, Ga. – A 13-count federal indictment charging nine defendants, including Atlanta resident Heather Breland, 38, with participating in an armed fentanyl and methamphetamine trafficking ring in middle Georgia has been unsealed.

The indictment alleges that between October 2021 and June 2022, the defendants conspired to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and more than 40 grams of fentanyl into local communities.

Reeves, a Warner Robins resident, faces a mandatory minimum of 25 years imprisonment up to a maximum of life imprisonment for his alleged involvement in the conspiracy.

The remaining defendants each face up to a maximum of life imprisonment, while four firearms were seized during the investigation.

The effort is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) operation, which uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to identify, disrupt, and dismantle high-level criminal organizations.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), the Warner Robins Police Department, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and the Peach County Sheriff’s Office.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Keyes is prosecuting the case.

An additional defendant, Kenneth Maddox, 30, of Warner Robins, is at-large and remains a fugitive.
