Norman Scumbag Bellamy, Identity Theft, Virginia 2023

OKLAHOMA CITY – Norman’s Gordon Bellamy, Jr., 45, has been handed a10-month federal prison sentence for swindling nearly $27,000 in veterans disability benefits through fraudulent claims. U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester blasted the scam, calling it an “offense” to the nation’s injured veterans.

Bellamy was indicted on 11 counts, including theft of public money and making a false representation of a Social Security number. He fraudulently received $26,940.13 by claiming dependents for VA benefits, according to court records. His plea guilty to falsely representing his parental status came on August 19, 2024.

U.S. District Judge Charles Goodwin sentenced Bellamy to ten months in federal prison and three years of supervised release, ordering him to pay full restitution. Bellamy’s previous conviction for computer access fraud in the Western District of Oklahoma also surfaced at the hearing.

The investigation was led by the Department of Veterans Affairs – Office of Inspector General, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Danielle London handling the prosecution.
