Jamestown Man Threatens to Kill Homeland Security Agents

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Matthew White, 43, of Jamestown, New York, is facing serious federal charges after a barrage of violent threats directed at federal immigration agents and administrators were discovered on his social media account. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced White’s arrest today, charging him with communicating interstate threats – a crime that carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

The investigation, spearheaded by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), began when agents in Buffalo flagged a concerning pattern of posts on the social media platform “X” (formerly Twitter). Authorities believe the account was operated by White, and the posts explicitly threatened individuals employed by the Department of Homeland Security. The posts weren’t idle rantings; they were specific calls for violence, ratcheting up the danger level significantly.

According to the criminal complaint, the threats began escalating in late April 2025. On April 18th, White posted, “Kill them all, ICE is the new age gestapo, stop them.” The rhetoric grew more pointed on April 29th when he responded to a video clip of Border Czar Tom Homan, stating, “Then understand that if your ICE agents don’t show proof of identity and a signed warrant, we will kill them.” The language is chilling, and paints a clear picture of intent.

Perhaps the most disturbing posts came in response to coverage of ICE arrest operations, including an incident inside a Virginia courthouse in April 2025. White allegedly wrote, “I can’t wait to put a bullet into this guy’s brain, but first his children.” These comments aren’t protected speech; they are direct threats against specific individuals and their families, and the feds are taking them very seriously. Assistant U.S. Attorney Evan K. Glaberson is prosecuting the case.

White voluntarily cooperated with investigators on June 4, 2025, allowing them to extract and copy the contents of his phone, confirming the existence of the threatening posts. He made an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy and was released on conditions pending further legal proceedings. Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan of HSI oversaw the investigation.

It’s crucial to remember that an indictment is not a conviction. White is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. However, the evidence presented thus far paints a disturbing picture, and the Grimy Times will continue to follow this case closely as it moves through the federal court system. The safety of federal agents is paramount, and those who threaten them will be held accountable.
